The road the Silberstein family traveled is a testament to the power of survival, the desire to understand history and its impact on family, and the serendipity involved in uncovering the facts. The process was like solving a puzzle. But the family was convinced that the story should be told, and we had the benefit of a remarkable historian and his resources.

Every time we asked a question, we would be surprised that not only an answer was out there but that it unlocked so many other doors. We were so fortunate…this book was just waiting to be written. There were just too many coincidences to believe otherwise.
